Up on the Roof...

I was up on the roof cutting mistletoe from the oak tree in the front yard when Brody returned from Sonshine Bible School. He ran upstairs and by the time he looked out the window I had removed the screen and asked him if he wanted to come sit on the roof with me. I told him a story about the first time I took Staci, Caleb, and Tyler up on this very same roof. Then I carried him on a tour of the rest of the roof and he waved to our neighbors from up on top of the house.

It was fun but I warned him that he couldn't get on the roof without me until he was grown up. It sure is fun to see the wonder in a child's eyes! Each moment like this is so precious.
