Luke Tyler is Here!

Friday night I flew back home from teaching all week in Colorado Springs and drove straight to the hospital to see our new grandson (#3)- Luke Tyler! It was a wonderful feeling to sit beside his incubator and hold Luke for about 30 minutes or so. When I arrived at Ann's room, she was all alone. Tyler and Joan were in the newborn intensive care unit room. I talked with Ann and she was waiting for her pain medicine. Tyler came back to the room and was all smiles!

He took me down the hall to the NICU and showed me how to scrub up like a doctor. Joan was alreay in the room rocking Luke. She let me take her place and I was in heaven. What a wonderful feeling to hold our little grandson and dream of his future.

Here is one of the photos I took of Luke with his eyes open. Joan was holding him at this time and I think he wanted to see her...

Joan and I spent the night at Tyler and Ann's house and then went back to the Hospital on Saturday morning. It may be 2 or 3 days before Tyler and Ann get to bring Luke home. Ann was able to check out of the hospital on Saturday. Pray for Ann and Luke to heal quickly!

Thanks for all the good pictures, I will be glad when I can hold him and Axtel like I did Josh and Caleb in my rocking chair. I am so thankful for all my grands and greats.

They are constantly in our prayers and in our hearts. He is a very handsome baby! How could he not be with the genes that he has? Love you all!!
