This Christmas our wonderful kids, Staci, Mike, Caleb, Audria, Tyler and Ann, went together and gave us a weekend away at the Southlake Hilton. We arrived at the new Hilton around 3:30 pm on Friday and were greeted as special guests by the Hilton staff. Joan and I feel very special because our kids love us so much and we love them.
The Hilton is right in the middle of a big shopping complex and we went right to work. We looked around the hotel and then walked around some of the shops, stopping in at the Borders Bookstore. Joan found a book about Fort Worth's oil-man Sid Richardson and read the first chapter sitting in a big overstuffed chair.
Ann had created an itinerary for us and next on our agenda she reserved a table at the Tuscan Grille. She even told us what Lou Ann and Chuck's favorite meal there was and we decided it sounded good to us also - Lemon Pepper Roasted Chicken for two. It was delicious!!!
After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and changed into our work-out clothes and spent an hour in the fantastic work-out room.
We are having a blast!
