Saturday at Soutlake

Joan and I spent a relaxing morning at the Hilton Hotel and Southlake shopping area. We slept in a bit and then went up to the fifth floor and the Concierge Lounge to eat breakfast out on the patio. Then we went back to the room and watched an HD.NET t.v. special on a group of adventurers that floated down the Blue Nile. Here is a scene where they rode camels past a desert ghost town along the Nile.
At 10:00 AM we walked over to the Southlake stores and shopped for shoes and clothes. I bought a great pair of black shoes at Clark Shoe store and Joan bought a little toy for the boys - a train whistle. She almost found some clothes and actually had the clerk hold them for her, but still hasn't gone back for them.

We walked around and decided to eat lunch at Cafe Express. We shared an excellent Southwestern Hamburger and sweet potato fries. Lunch was superb!

Back at the hotel, we took a nap and then went down to the outdoor whirlpool, then sat in the sun for a while. We really enjoyed the afternoon.

So glad you ate at Cafe Express- that's one of my favorite places to eat (I had lunch there Friday with Kristan). What a great day :)
