I really like flying into Reagan International Airport in Washington DC. The approach usually takes us down the Potomac River and just before we land we see the George Washington Monument, the Mall, and the Lincoln Memorial. What a beautiful sight! I chose to avoid the freeways and drive to work on the George Washington Parkway. It follows the Potomac and I took the next two shots out my car window. Click on this first one to get the grand view of the Washington Monument from the GW Parkway.
It is a very pretty drive. Everything is so green and the temperature was perfect - a high of 75 degrees!
I spent the evening walking around the Wolf Trap Park. The woods were so quiet and it was very refreshing.
After we finished our planning session I took a flight back home. About an hour before we touched down we flew through a very tall thunderstorm. It was a little rough but once we cleared the thunderstorm I looked back to see this...
God created a beautiful planet for us to enjoy!
