July 4th at Grandmommy's House!

Joan and I decided to drive down to Mom's house on Sunday afternoon and celebrate the 4th of July with her. We were looking forward to meeting Grandmommy's new friend, Jim. Also, Grandmommy's (Mom's) computer quit working so a spare PC with us to at least get her on-line again. Mike and Staci agreed to let Brody and Barrett go with us so we left right after the first worship service. We arrived at her house right after she got home from church. Aunt Sharon brought KFC chicken for lunch and the kitchen was hopping...
After playing both inside and outside all day, Barrett was ready for bed.  Staci had packed his Fourth of July pajamas and so he was ready to celebrate in his sleep!

Brody was ready too!  He had is Fourth of July American flag t-shirt to sleep in.  Those green things are off the arm of the green chair.
The next morning the boys were ready for the new day

Chili and Pepper hid from he boys most of the visit.

Mom fixed a great breakfast for us.  I worked on he compuer and then Mom and I went to the cable company to transfer her service.
For lunch we met Mom's friend, Jim, and had a Spicy Chik-Fil-A sandwich.  I loved it and the boys loved the playground.  Jim is a very nice man and I'm glad they are friends!  He is very nice to Mom and Sharon.  Our visit was over all too quickly and it was time to go.  Grandmommy was saying bye to Brody and Barrett.
I loved Barrett's smile as he said goodbye to Grandmommy.

When we got home, Brody and Barrett wanted to spend some time in our front yard under the big oak trees playing in the sand.
From the look on Brody's face, I think they enjoyed the trip as much as we did!

It was wonderful having y'all here. The time just went by too fast, though. Jim really enjoyed visiting with you and thinks very highly of you. Come again soon. My love to all...
