Joan and I are getting to Brodysit while Staci is having a girls weekend. Ann got us a room in the Embassy Suites. We got to Oklahoma City at 3:30 p.m. and checked in to the 6th floor suite. Staci and Brody arrived and Joan got so excited to see Brody that she was hurrying across the lobby of the hotel to get to Brody and she didn't see a step... she went flying across the lobby floor like Superwoman and landed flat out on the floor. Staci and Brody saw the whole thing. When the three of them got off the elevator and saw me, Joan was still laughing - tears streaming down her face. She said a little girl in the lobby saw it and asked her if she was o.k. (no damage done.)
Staci, Joan, and I sat in the living room of the suite and talked and watched Brody take 3 to 4 steps at a time and play with the toys we brought. Staci left at 4:30 for Suzanne's house where the girls are spending the weekend. As she drove off, Joan set Brody down in a pile of rocks outside under a tree and he was so happy! We brought 2 of the rocks up to the 6th floor and Brody played with them along with the other balls and toys. We donned our swim suits and took Brody down to the indoor pool. He had fun in the pool but decided he wanted to leave and started crawling away from the pool to the door. So we gave in and took him back up to the room.
Oh...Tyler just called and his flight landed safely. He was talking to me on the phone when he saw Ann across the airport so he sounded very happy!
Anyway, Joan, Brody, and I walked to a nearby Chili's restaurant and ate chicken, potatos and corn. I'll post some photos here tomorrow of Brody eating corn on the cob without any teeth!
After we ate we took a walk along restaurant row smelling steaks and burgers. It was a nice night! Back at the suite, we watched the sun go down and played with Brody. Joan gave him a bath and we played on the king size bed with Brody.
He went to bed around 9 p.m. but don't tell his mom and dad that we let him stay up so late! Brody was soooo good tonight. He is such a fun kid to be around. We love him very much!!!
After he went to bed, Joan and I watched the Discovery Channel show - Survivor Man and one episode of Cosby Show.

I am so glad Joan was not hurt as she did her superwoman to get to Staci and Brody. Happy to learn that Tyler landed safely and that you and Joan had so much fun with Brody. He is so precious!!!! Hope to see pictures when you get back home.
Fear of falling is one reason I do not like to go on long trips. Joan, I would never have thought about your falling. However, grandkids can make you do a lot of things.
