Big Time Driftwood!

I knew the old growth forests grew right up next to the coast of the Pacific ocean and I looked forward to seeing the beautiful coastline of Washington State. We drove on until we reached one of the beaches on the Olympic Peninsula.
I've seen many beautiful beaches but I wasn't prepared for what I would see at the beach in Washington.  It and was a little rainy and overcast which gave the coastline a mystical look.
The driftwood was huge and there was a tremendous amount of it.  I'm talking the big trees drifting up on the beach.  Take a look at how big these things are!

Joan could take a stroll on the drifwood.

Joan was about 7 feet up in the air while standing on this huge driftwood.
The "sea stacks" were really cool looking.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stack_(geology)
Steve strikes a pose on a giant driftwood.
Look at all the driftwood and these are huge trees!  Look for the people on the right side.
This beach is part of the Olympic National Park.  Take a look at this Wiki article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_Beach

The pictures remind me of a scene from the Good Son with McCauley Culkin.
