Olympic National Forest - More Hurricane Ridge

What a spectacular day it was on Hurricane Ridge! We spent a little while on the summit taking photos and resting before we started down. I was looking at the fog in the valleys in the first photo.

As we hiked back down the trail, this deer came trotting up to us in a beautiful field of yellow.

.... and went right on by.

 

I went on up the trail and found a great place to view the surrounding mountains.  I'm where the horizon meets the trail.

After our hike we had to head back to the hotel.  It was an interesting and fun drive through the fog on windy roads.

Later in the evening we found a great place to eat with Mexican food!!!
