Barrett at the Little River Preserve in Alabama

On Saturday Joan, Barrett, and I ate breakfast at the hotel and then packed up our stuff to get ready for our road trip. Barrett wanted to eat a few more Cheerios so we filled up a cup with Cheerios and he ate them in the room.
Well, he ate some of them. Somehow he spilled most of them on the floor.
We drove to the Little River National Preserve.  The scenic road runs along the edge of a deep canyon that is part of the preserve.  Our first stop was a very tall waterfall.  It was beautiful but Barrett really wanted to touch the "waterball" as he called it.
Joan tried to explain to Barrett that the waterfall was a long way off.  Barrett just kept asking "Touch it?"

Barrett was not willing to leave without touching the waterfall until we told him we would be able to touch the water later.  Look at the little guy's face...
This is Barrett's view of the waterfall...

Barrett heard Joan's feet making a crunching noise and spent a few minutes trying to figure out why the little pebbles made that noise when she moved her feet.  It was funny how curious he was about that.

The Little River Preserve canyon drive was fun for me. The road was really fun to drive with beautiful views!
