Hurricane Ridge, Olympia National Park, Washington

Billy, Joan, and I left Paula back at the hotel where she was going to spend solo time reading, working on her blog, and doing a little shopping. We headed to Hurricane Ridge in Olympia National Park. Several people told us this was a beautiful hike. We stopped at the Ranger station and Joan called home to talk to Staci and the boys.
As we drove into the park we were greated by a deer trotting up the middle of the road.  She looked right at us with a very pleasant look on her face...
We started the walk and it was beautiful!
The mountains, the skies, the fields, it all combined to a fantastic experience of a hike.
This young buck was not shy either...
The fog created a beautiful scene in the valleys.

Looking down from the peak we spotted another young buck.
Joan enjoying a beautiful day and a great hike!
They were certainly right about this being a great hike!

Check out this photo.  You gotta click on this one and look at a big version of this one.

Beautiful pictures....but, why are you in shorts and a short sleeve shirt and Jaon and Billy are bundled up like it's 20 degrees?
